Noah and the Ark summary
Genesis 6-9 is about Noah and the ark. God saw how people on earth were sinning and decided to wipe mankind off the face of the earth. One man named Noah found favour in Gods eyes. God told him to build an ark with specific instructions for him and his family in preparation for the flood. God told Noah to bring two of all living creatures into the ark, both male and female, seven pairs of clean animal, and food for all the animals and his family. After they entered the ark it rained for 40 days and 40 nights. The water flooded the earth for 150 days, and every living thing was wiped out on the face of the earth. As the water started to clear up they landed on mountain Ararat and waited 8 more months while the water dried up. Finally, after one year God invited Noah to come out of the ark. Noah then worshiped The Lord with building an altar and offerings of clean animals. God was pleased with the offering and promised to never destroy all living creatures again. God then sent rainbows to the clouds.
Reflection
This story relates to my experiences because it helps me be prepared for unseen situations. Noah had some ups and downs while on the ark and that can relate to my life because it is not always perfect sailing but in the end everything turns out for the better.
